Select Board Opens Warrant for School Roof Projects

HINGHAM — Select Board opens Special Town Meeting warrant for school roof projects. The board unanimously voted to include articles for roof replacements at Plymouth River Elementary and South Elementary Schools with combined project budgets of 24.2 million dollars and approved schematic design submission to the Massachusetts School Building Authority. The warrant additionally includes a petition for authority to extend bonding periods for Hingham Municipal Light Plant projects from 20 to 30 years.
The board also unanimously approved a three-year labor agreement with Teamsters Local 25 covering DPW supervisors with 3 percent annual salary increases at an estimated cost of 19,000 to 19,500 dollars.
