Hingham Board Revises High School Roof Warrant

Hingham Select Board sets Nov. 3 ballot votes for two school roof projects and adds $1.1 million to keep the high school project on schedule. Chair Liz Klein, Bill Ramsey and Julie Strehle voted 3-0 to place debt exclusion questions for the Plymouth River and South Elementary School roof replacements on the November 3 special election ballot, with Assistant Town Administrator for Finance Katie Dugan citing an expected 36.89 percent MSBA reimbursement. The board also voted to add $1,115,000 to the Special Town Meeting warrant for Hingham High School's roof and HVAC design, with Strehle noting it's "a very specific dollar amount." Separately, the board signed two new police union contracts running through June 2027, approved a $358,678.20 Taser upgrade for the police department, and awarded a $70,000 design contract for a new Plymouth River Elementary basketball court.
