Country Club approves $2.6M budget; pool contract awaits attorney general's ruling

Hingham Country Club Committee approves $2.6 million fiscal 2027 budget. The committee, chaired by George Kay and including members Steve Stein, Chris Griswold, and Sue Sullivan, approved a $2.6 million operational budget, a $165,000 increase enabled by bonding prior equipment purchases, according to Executive Director Kevin Whalen. One donation request from the Hingham Education Foundation was also approved.
However, the committee's pool renovation project remains stalled pending the Massachusetts Attorney General's review of a sub-bidder protest of the Construction Dynamics contract.
