Country Club committee eyes June 2027 for pool opening

HINGHAM — Country Club pool project advancing toward 2027 opening. The Country Club Management Committee reported at its June 23 meeting that construction, which began May 21, is progressing toward a June 2027 completion with a groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for July 23. Executive Director Kevin Whalen also reported that the South Shore Country Club is trending toward a $150,000 profit for the fiscal year, with May revenue of $287,479.57 driven by favorable weather and payments from the Hingham Recreation Department for golf camps.
The committee is managing state-mandated water restrictions and continues capital improvements including a new restaurant front door and HVAC upgrades.
