Commission aligns with Select Board on FY27 strategic priorities

Hingham Development and Industrial Commission aligns focus with Select Board's FY27 strategic goals. The commission discussed how to support the Select Board's agenda across three categories: investing in the community, financial stewardship, and effective communication. Co-Chair Mike Galvin and staff member Art Robert outlined approximately 20 specific items for commission support.
Members also reviewed the Rev250 campaign, which reached approximately 9,000 residences with a mailer promoting upcoming town events, and moved the economic development site inventory online. The commission opened two liaison roles: MWRA Advisory Board representation to monitor water access, and Climate Action Commission membership to ensure business considerations factor into the town's net-zero carbon goal by 2040.
