Development and Industrial Commission approves prior minutes, updates strategic plan progress

HINGHAM — The Development and Industrial Commission approved prior minutes and outlined progress on a commercial property search tool and 250th anniversary programming. Co-Chair David Bailey led the meeting with four other members present. The commission plans to launch the property search tool by May with two-year financial backing from the Chamber and will track user engagement metrics.

The group also discussed Hingham250.org events including Revolutionary War commemorations, World Cup watch parties, and a Battle of Grape Island commemoration, acknowledging coordination challenges across 60 town boards and committees. Staff member Art Robert reported on a presentation of the town's Economic Development Strategic Plan to the South Shore Economic Development Corporation.
