HINGHAM — Development and Industrial Commission reviews Route 3A construction timeline. Town Engineer JR Frey reported that MassDOT has completed 100 percent design plans, now in a 45-day review period, with construction expected to begin summer 2026 and conclude in late 2028. The project encompasses 24 to 30 months of work and will include utility improvements for water and gas infrastructure starting in 2026.
The commission voted unanimously to approve prior meeting minutes and scheduled three spring meetings for April 30, May 28, and June 25, 2026. Staff also provided economic development updates on activity in Hingham Square, the Shipyard, South Hingham, and Yankee Trader Seafood expansion.
