Hingham Select Board approves six contracts totaling more than $1.3 million

HINGHAM — July 15, 2025 — Hingham Select Board approved six contracts and seven appointments in a wide-ranging July 15 session. Chair Bill Ramsey and members Liz Klein and Julie Strehle voted unanimously to hire CHA Consulting Incorporated for pickleball court design and permitting at Carlson Field for up to $166,000, renew owner's project manager Pomeroy Associates LLC for the South Shore Country Club Pool Complex at $160,235, and engage P3 Incorporated to oversee the Center for Active Living senior center project through the 2026 Annual Town Meeting at up to $130,000. Road work contracts with TL Edwards Incorporated and Seal Coating Incorporated (dba Indis) were also approved, with the TL Edwards amendment alone reaching $850,000 in Chapter 90 and DPW funds. The board unanimously endorsed the MBTA's plan to extend all Route 220 trips to the Hingham Shipyard ferry terminal beginning August 24, approving the elimination of two parking spaces on Shipyard Drive to accommodate accessible bus stops — completing a transit connection the town had pursued for more than 20 years.
