TOWN
The Select Board on June 30 approved an $8,000 emergency transfer from athletic field salaries to field maintenance to cover unanticipated repairs to the town's athletic field irrigation system. The work stemmed from a cracked well pipe and a failing pump. Town Finance Director Katie Tenczar told the board the current field maintenance account balance of $1,300 was insufficient to cover the remaining project costs.
