HINGHAM --

HIGH SCHOOL -- Hingham High School seniors Peyton Burke and Nora Sinnott were named finalists for the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents' Academic Excellence Award, Superintendent Roberts announced at the Sept. 28 School Committee meeting. Sinnott serves as captain of the Hingham High varsity sailing team and also competes in club sailing; she has been teaching younger sailors the sport as well, according to the superintendent. Burke is in her fourth year on the Hingham High rowing team. Both students were recognized during the meeting with their families present for photos. Burke is also president of the National Honor Society and a head mentor in the school's mentor program; in the summers she works as a lifeguard at the Emelson YMCA in Hanover.
