HINGHAM — Cleaner Greener Hingham pursues plastic reduction policies in nearby towns. The Committee assigned Maria Zade to contact Hanover High School student Lexie Schiller, who led that town's recent plastic bag ban, about expanding efforts to include plastic water bottles. Mark Engel will research Norwell's plastic reduction bylaws.
The Committee received permission to distribute Black Earth Compost promotional flyers at the Transfer Station on June 28, with Engel and Zade handling distribution. The Committee will assess the initiative's effectiveness and potentially repeat it before summer's end.
