Cleaner Greener Hingham Committee removes member for lack of attendance
Cleaner Greener Hingham Committee · Meeting of March 12, 2026
HINGHAM — Cleaner Greener Hingham Committee removes member for lack of attendance. Co-Chair Janice McPhillips opened the remote Zoom meeting with Michael Poling, Mark Engel, Maria Zade, and Peter Swason present; the committee voted to remove David Jones due to attendance issues and acknowledged Tony George's early March resignation, leaving two open positions. The committee will staff a community table at the Hingham Farmers Market on March 21 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to promote the Black Earth composting partnership and rain barrel sales (pickup April 25), and plans a town-wide cleanup on April 11 at the Transfer Station.
School recycling priorities include separate trash-recycling pickup and food scraps collection.
