HINGHAM — Select Board authorizes $515,944 in twin infrastructure deals and rejects two warrant petitions. Chair Bill Ramsey and members Liz Klein and Julie Strehle unanimously approved $53,272.68 to replace the town's end-of-life firewall with Ockers Technology and $462,672.00 in amendments to the Route 3A Broad Cove Pump Station sewer project, extending completion to May 29, 2026. Both warrant article votes—one establishing a Youth Commission, the other transferring 200 High Street to Conservation—were also unanimous rejections.
Assistant Town Administrator Katie Dugan reported the FY27 budget shortfall has shrunk to $222,000 from over $1.1 million after incorporation of state aid and revised tax projections.
