Hingham Select Board unanimously signs 2026 Annual Town Meeting Warrant
HINGHAM — March 31, 2026 — Hingham Select Board signs the 2026 Annual Town Meeting Warrant in an eight-minute session. The three-member board — Chair William Ramsey, Liz Klein, and Julie Strehle — voted unanimously Tuesday to adopt and sign the warrant, which Town Administrator Tom Mayo called "the culmination of months worth of work" by multiple boards and committees. The red-covered booklet will be mailed to all registered voters approximately two weeks before town meeting, with delivery targeted around April 13. Ramsey noted that per town bylaw, a constable will physically escort the signed warrant from the Select Board office to the Town Clerk's office, a tradition he described as tied to the warrant's legal role as a formal warning to citizens. Ramsey also announced a public information session on the proposed Hingham Center for Active Living for April 13 at 7 p.m. in Sanborn Auditorium.
