Hingham Select Board unanimously signs 2026 Annual Town Meeting Warrant

HINGHAM -- March 31, 2026, Hingham Select Board signs the 2026 Annual Town Meeting Warrant in an eight-minute session. The three-member board, Chair William Ramsey, Liz Klein, and Julie Strehle, voted unanimously Tuesday to adopt and sign the warrant, which Town Administrator Tom Mayo called "the culmination of months worth of work" by multiple boards and committees. The red-covered booklet will be mailed to all registered voters approximately two weeks before town meeting, with delivery targeted around April 13. Ramsey noted that per town bylaw, a constable will physically escort the signed warrant from the Select Board office to the Town Clerk's office, a tradition he described as tied to the warrant's legal role as a formal warning to citizens. Ramsey also announced a public information session on the proposed Hingham Center for Active Living for April 13 at 7 p.m. in Sanborn Auditorium.
