HINGHAM — Select Board reviews FY27 departmental budgets within 3.5% municipal cap. Town Administrator Tom Mayo walked the board through nine departmental line items, including a 3.5% increase for Select Board operations, a 0.3% increase for Town Hall utility costs, and a competitive insurance bid that reduced property and liability costs by approximately 6.5% year over year. The Reserve Fund is calculated at 0.75% of total annual expenditures, and Contributory Retirement remains on track for full funding by 2035.
