Hingham Select Board approves all warrant articles, including Center for Active Living construction project. Chair Bill Ramsey, Ms. Liz Klein, and Ms.
Julie Strehle voted unanimously on nine perennial articles and a separate measure authorizing borrowing, likely as a debt exclusion, for construction of the new Center for Active Living at Bear Cove Park Drive, with Tom Carey, Chair of the HCAL Building Committee, reporting his committee's unanimous recommendation. The board also heard FY27 departmental budget presentations showing increases across eight departments, driven by step raises, cost of living adjustments, and rising utility and training costs; and unanimously approved a request by Legal Sea Foods to open at 10 a.m. instead of 11 a.m. on weekends for brunch service, subject to Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission approval.
