The meeting centered on three major school building projects with significant cost escalations: South Elementary's roof project has grown to $8.3 million gross (net $5.2 million to Town after MSBA reimbursement); Plymouth River Elementary's roof is now $13.5 million gross (net $8.5 million after reimbursement); and Hingham High School's roof and HVAC project is being recommended in a geothermal configuration at $49.5 million gross, reducing to $15 million net after $34 million in state and federal offsets.
