Lincoln apartments warrant fails; Trust charts revised strategy
Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of May 28, 2026
Hingham Affordable Housing Trust refocuses after Lincoln Apartments warrant vote fails. The Trust unanimously approved its Treasurer's Reports with an April balance of $1,661,050.32 and committed to a Capital Needs Assessment and revised outreach strategy following the narrow failure of its warrant article at Town Meeting. Town Administration will oversee a financial analysis of the impact of continued town ownership and management.
The Trust scheduled a June 10 meeting to review Hobart Street tax title properties ahead of a June 23 auction, the first affordable housing property developed under the new tax title law, while member Elizabeth Cullen stepped down from the Trust and Lincoln School Board of Managers.
