Climate Commission approves Marblehead letter, reorganizes member focus

HINGHAM — Climate panel backs Marblehead study, assigns plan work to members. The Hingham Climate Action Commission approved a letter supporting Marblehead's Municipal Light Plant geothermal feasibility study and reorganized member assignments for implementing the town's Climate Action Plan across buildings, transportation, and energy sectors. Jo-An Heileman and Matt Curran will lead school initiatives; Doug Troyer and Gary Tondorf-Dick will work on buildings; Doug Troyer and Maria Zade on transportation.
The commission also discussed updating its carbon inventory using 2024 or 2025 data, with John Borger and Maria Zade volunteering to help. The next meeting is May 13.
