Hingham Vote-by-mail Applications Due Today Before Primary

HINGHAM — Hingham voters have until 5 p.m. today to get vote-by-mail applications in ahead of the September 1 primary, one of several election deadlines converging on the town this week.

Today, August 25, is the deadline for the town to receive vote-by-mail applications for the September 1 state primary, according to the town's News Flash service. Residents who miss the cutoff still have options: early in-person voting opens Saturday, and Election Day itself follows a few days later.

Separately, the town announced it will host a Shred Day on September 26 at Rockland Trust in Hingham, giving residents a chance to safely dispose of personal documents they no longer want to keep on hand.
