Hingham Zoning Board of Appeals unanimously approves residential garage-addition permit. Acting Chair Paul Healey, Associate Members Lauren Galvin and Mario Romania, Jr., granted a Special Permit A1 to Erik and Rosemary Vos to construct a conforming addition to a pre-existing nonconforming garage and connect it to their single-family home at 33 Lafayette Avenue in Residence District A. The Board found the proposal consistent with zoning requirements, compatible with the surrounding residential area, and capable of operation without adverse neighborhood impact.
Public comment supported the applicants.
