HINGHAM — Weir River Water System rate increases win unanimous backing. The Citizens Advisory Board recommended the proposed rate schedule unanimously, with Chair Dave Anderson citing rising operating costs and critical capital needs including a new Hull storage tank, booster station, and Turkey Hill tank rehabilitation. Anderson reported the rates align with financial models developed when the town acquired the system.
The Board of Water Commissioners subsequently approved the rate increases.
