School Building Committee adjourns after security breach disrupts construction delivery discussion

School Building Committee · Meeting of March 10, 2026

Hingham School Building Committee meeting disrupted by unauthorized Zoom participant. Chair Angela Thedinga reported that Town Counsel John Coughlin had clarified funding oversight: Articles 34, 35, and 36 fall under the Building Committee for high school roof replacement and schematic design at Plymouth River and South schools, while Article 37 funds extraordinary capital repairs under Hingham School Committee jurisdiction. Matthew Meehan noted emergency repairs needed at Plymouth River School following water damage from a failing roof system.

The committee adjourned at 7:01 PM after an uninvited participant entered the meeting with inappropriate content, preventing continuation of a presentation on construction manager at risk delivery.
