HINGHAM — Route 3A Task Force unanimously supports warrant article for state land-use legislation. Chair Judy Sneath and members approved the Article 97 effort for Annual Town Meeting 2026, which would authorize the Select Board to advance the proposal at the State level. GM2 engineer Eric Carlson reported the 100-percent design documents submitted December 28 to MassDOT are under 45-day review by project manager Janhavi Limaye; the engineering teams are coordinating environmental permitting, wetland mitigation, and right-of-way plans.

Right-of-way plan finalization by March 20 is essential to the warrant article timeline. Construction is expected to begin August 2027 and continue 30 months.
