Planning Board endorses North Street lot division; continues Main Street site plan review

Planning Board · Meeting of February 23, 2026

HINGHAM — Planning Board endorses North Street subdivision and continues Main Street review. Chair Tracy Shriver moved unanimously to endorse a Form A application from Ryan and Martha Carr to divide 197 North Street in Residence A District into two parcels; Brendan Sullivan, PLS with Merrill Engineering, confirmed the original 67,000-square-foot lot exceeds zoning requirements and that no newly nonconforming lots would result. The board also unanimously continued Anton Cela's Site Plan Review application for a single-family dwelling at 1192 Main Street to March 9, 2026, extending the decision deadline to April 9.

Community Planning Director Emily Wentworth announced a new Senior Planner will begin March 2.
