Hingham recorded 13 property transfers between Sept. 11 and Oct. 10, including eight sales with prices ranging from $30,625 to $5,750,000 and a median of $2,330,000. The remaining five were nominal-consideration transfers, mostly moving property into trusts bearing the same owners' names. The month's top transaction was 161 Otis St., which sold for $5,750,000 to Seth J. and Lauren H. Karp. A second sale, 12 Howard Rd., topped $5 million as well. Sales were spread across the town with no street recording more than one priced transaction, and the data shows no basis for characterizing the period as unusually active or slow.
