HINGHAM — Historic Districts Commission approves three design certificates and backs lighting upgrade. The Commission unanimously approved front-door and garage replacements at 269 and 380 Main Street and authorized Chair Daniel Clark to sign a letter supporting a proposed 27-fixture LED streetlamp replacement in the Station Street parking lot. A continuing application from Mike Ahern for a major renovation at 709 Main Street in the Glad Tidings Historic District advanced on the main house with approved revisions to windows, roof pitch, and pavers, though Commissioners deferred decisions on the pool, pool house, fencing, and exterior siding to a future meeting pending further design refinement.
