Hingham Historic Districts Commission approves four residential and ecclesiastical projects. Acting Chair Eric Smoczynski presided with four voting members as the Commission unanimously approved dormers and deck extension at 188 South Street, an HVAC condenser installation at Hingham Congregational Church, and a pool house with accessory dwelling unit at 709 Main Street after negotiating material specifications. A landscape redesign at 235 Main Street passed four to one.
The Commission continued a two-story addition proposal at 76 Lincoln Street, requesting design refinement to better preserve the visibility of the original 1743 historic structure and reduce the massing of new construction. Commissioners unanimously approved prior meeting minutes.
