Hingham Conservation Commission issues negative determinations and approves deck replacement.
Conservation Commission · Meeting of March 23, 2026
Hingham Conservation Commission issues negative determination and approves plan revision. The Commission voted unanimously to issue a Negative Determination of Applicability for a sunroom and deck project at 206 Cushing Street and approved a minor plan change at 322 Rockland Street allowing removal of a raised patio and construction of a new 22-by-11-foot deck. Conservation Officer Shannon Palmer recommended both approvals, noting the deck design would allow passage of flood waters and minimize disturbance to nearby wetlands.
The Commission also unanimously approved a $3,800 contract amendment with Horsley Witten Group to expand the scope of Hingham Wetland Regulations consulting services to include review of local floodplain regulations. Two public hearings were continued to April 13, 2026.
