Hingham Affordable Housing Trust backs Lincoln School safeguards

Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of April 1, 2026

Hingham Affordable Housing Trust approves Lincoln School protections. The Trust unanimously backed amendments to Warrant Article 23 that would cap the Lincoln School Apartments building at 30 percent of the parcel and enforce affordability protections for seniors and persons with disabilities as long as a Housing Assistance Program contract remains in place through 2031. The Trust approved Treasurer's Reports showing a December closing balance of $1,546,497.66, including a $700,000 transfer from the Capital Preservation Committee, and authorized up to $3,000 in electrical improvements at the separate 3H Beal's Cove property to satisfy a new buyer's requirements.
