Hingham Advisory Committee reviews departmental budgets for FY26

HINGHAM — The Hingham Advisory Committee reviews approximately $12.8 million in FY26 departmental budgets. Hingham Assistant Town Administrator Katie Dugan presented the Contributory Retirement budget at $7,547,646, a 5 percent increase. The committee recommended nine departmental budgets including General Insurance at $1,753,379, down 6 percent from rebidding, and OPEB at $1,554,162.

The town is on track to achieve full retirement-fund commitment by 2035, five years ahead of state mandate.
