South Shore Country Club committee approved $400K in capital projects.
Country Club Management Committee · Meeting of September 22, 2026
South Shore Country Club committee approved $400K in capital projects. The Country Club Management Committee unanimously backed a $169,900 electrical service relocation contract with Brite Lite of Weymouth, scheduled to begin in mid-October, and unanimously approved a $230,472 pool change order for additional ledge removal. Executive Director Kevin Whalen told the committee the change order will nearly exhaust remaining contingency funds, limiting flexibility for future construction cost overruns.
The pool project remains on schedule for a June 2027 opening. The committee also voted unanimously to support donations from the Braintree Vietnam Veterans and Road to Responsibility.
