Council on Aging advances outreach for Center for Active Living project
Council on Aging · Meeting of January 13, 2026
HINGHAM — The Hingham Council on Aging accelerated its outreach for the Center for Active Living building project ahead of April town meeting and May ballot vote. The council is coordinating three town-sponsored information sessions in March, house sessions starting January 26 with 20 volunteer hosts, and community meetings at Hingham Woods on February 19 and Hingham Meadows in late March. Member Josh Ross created a shareable link for neighborhood gatherings, and the town is completing a tax calculator so residents can model project costs for their properties.
The council also heard from Don Masters, who is launching a retiree support group that drew seven participants to its second meeting and will host a third gathering at the center on January 14.
