HINGHAM — Conservation Commission denies certificate for disputed buffer zone restoration. The Commission voted 7-0 on April 13 to reject a certificate of compliance for 19 Fulling Mill Lane, finding that homeowners Sarah and Adam Gordon had failed to implement prior conditions requiring modified treatment of a wetland mitigation area in a Buffer Zone near Salt Marsh. Chair Carolyn Nielsen stated the Commission had provided more flexibility than typical and expected compliance; the Gordons were advised they may reapply once modifications are completed.
In other action, the Commission issued Orders of Conditions for residential projects at 58 Bonnie Brier Circle and 10 Friend Street, each including specific mitigation requirements, and continued a public hearing for a proposed eight-pickleball-court project at 25 Bare Cove Park Drive to May 4 pending additional documentation on stormwater design and vernal pool protection.
