Conservation Commission approves three enforcement orders, issues new wetland permit.

Hingham Conservation Commission ratifies three enforcement orders and issues new permit. The commission voted unanimously to ratify orders issued August 14, 2025 at 10 Village Lane and January 8, 2026 at both 383 East Street and 0 Whiting Street for wetland and buffer zone violations; staff is developing restoration plans for all three sites. In new business, the commission closed the public hearing for 73 Gilford Road, DEP No. 034-1552, and issued an Order of Conditions for a septic system replacement with nitrogen reduction and tertiary treatment, replacing an existing cesspool on the constrained lot.

The commission also issued a Certificate of Compliance for 387 East Street after finding substantial compliance with a 2020 Order for a new septic system.
