HINGHAM — Conservation Commission approves two Orders of Conditions and issues three Certificates of Compliance. The commission closed hearings for a residential dock at 55 Whiton Avenue and a home rebuild at 25 Arnold Road, both issued full Orders of Conditions, and closed a second hearing on 443 Cushing Street requiring significant riverfront restoration with native plantings, two-year monitoring, and permanent markers. During a lengthy hearing on 22 Del Prete Drive, all seven commissioners voted to table the application, rejecting the applicant's swimming pool proposal within a certified vernal pool protection zone, citing lack of regulatory authority and no town precedent for such approvals.
Conservation Officer Shannon Palmer reported progress on a revised tree removal policy that incorporates carbon sequestration in replacement calculations.
