Conservation Commission · Meeting of July 13, 2026

Hingham Conservation Commission approves five compliance certificates and authorizes peer review. Chair Carolyn Nielsen and commissioners voted unanimously to issue certificates of compliance for completed work at Hingham Shipyard Marinas, JEB Group LLC's Industrial Park Road site, the Studley home rebuild, the Sullivan estate's restored salt marsh, and the Gordon property on Fulling Mill Lane. The Commission also approved a three-month extension with filing-fee waiver for mitigation plantings at 111 Weir Street.

In other action, commissioners continued a hearing on a home addition at 359 East Street to July 27 after rejecting the applicant's request to waive buffer-zone plantings; Conservation Officer Shannon Palmer announced a $500,000 gift from the Barbara Hood Trust for conservation purposes.
