Hingham Conservation Commission requires full restoration of altered wetlands at Village Lane. Chair Carolyn Nielsen and commissioners rejected a homeowner's compromise proposal in an enforcement matter, continuing discussion to May 18 and requiring full restoration of the altered wetland and buffer zone to pre-disturbance conditions. In a separate enforcement case, the Commission voted 6-0-1, with Commissioner Douglas Troyer opposed, to approve a restoration plan for 383 East Street that includes wetland replication, buffer restoration, and removal of encroachments.
The Commission also continued two public hearings for development projects at Bare Cove Park Drive and Shipyard Drive to May 18.
