Historic Districts Commission · Meeting of July 16, 2026
HINGHAM — Historic Districts Commission continued Peterson window replacement application pending specialist assessment. Brad and Carolyn Peterson applied to replace seven windows at their Lincoln Historic District Extension home, citing deterioration and safety concerns about lead paint for their young children. Commissioners Catherine Daley, Joshua Blevins, and Justin Aborn urged exploration of restoration first and recommended obtaining an assessment from a qualified historic window restoration specialist before proceeding with any replacement.
The Commission agreed the proposed wood windows would be appropriate if replacement ultimately proved necessary.
