Hingham's environmental committee plans push for home composting. The Cleaner Greener Hingham Committee agreed to staff the Transfer Station on January 29 and February 1 to promote the Black Earth residential pilot program, which has enrolled 115 households toward a target of 250. The committee will also provide adult mentorship for food scrap collection at Hingham High School, beginning with a pilot program under the leadership of school Green Teams.
