HINGHAM — Board of Health and Sewer Commission discuss sewer expansion in two town areas. In a joint meeting, the boards examined the Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan and economic development in the South Hingham Industrial Park, where Bristol Brothers is evaluating connections to MWRA or a private treatment plant. Dr.

Elizabeth Eldredge, Chair of the Board of Health, proposed reverting to 1983 bylaw language to strengthen Board approval authority over sewer expansion. Managing Director Russel Tierney recommended forming a South Hingham Sewer Study Group and presented analysis of extending sewer service to World's End to address aging septic systems threatened by seawater flooding.
