HINGHAM — Advisory Committee votes unanimously for $70 million light utility project. The committee, meeting March 12, endorsed the Hingham Municipal Light Project borrowing while reviewing the $32 million Center of Active Living proposal, which would increase property taxes on an average home by 2.5 percent annually. Superintendent of Schools Kathryn Roberts presented the district budget, reporting 61 students in out-of-district placements and noting recent staff reductions following pandemic-era increases, with a new therapeutic program planned for Foster Elementary School.
